Saint-Amour mentions a fascinating aspect about Viereck’s novel on page 132 when stating that “Viereck endorsed-and later became famous for endorsing-a politics that combined “cannibalistic violation” with heroic individualism.” What does this mean and how exactly did this make him famous?
